Summary
Formulates concepts and leads staff engaged in executing layout designs for artwork and copy to be presented by visual communications media such as websites, multimedia banner ads, desktop applications, mobile devices, touch screen panels, and other user interfaces.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
âDevelop concepts under tight deadlines for electronic media that reflect strategy, are appropriate for the brand personality, and are extremely creative
âExplore creative solutions to limitations encountered during the digital design process
âAbility to collaborate and manage a wide range of tasks, parallel timelines and deliverables
âDesign and specify user interface based on user and business requirements, information architecture
âDevelop intelligent and creative visual solutions for digital media platforms as needed
âAssist educate CommonHealth sister agencies on best practices and digital design principals
âMentor and direct designers in creating elegant solutions and presentations
âEnsure that concepts are produced timely, on budget and with the degree of quality promised to the client
âMaintain interaction with copy, development/deployment team and client services on scope of projects
âDeliver internal presentations to senior creative personnel and/or clients
âRemain current on industry trends and technology
âMaintain high standards for design, layout, color and typography
âDevelop storyboards, wireframes, sketches, and style boards to illustrate designs for new web experiences, interactive applications, widgets, and flash games.
Qualifications
â5-7 years of professional web design experience as demonstrated by extensive client portfolio
âExpert knowledge of interactive design, including a fundamental understanding of developing graphics and assets for use in the with CSS, HTML, and DHTML
âSeveral years experience in launching successful large scale interactive web sites/applications as a key member of a creative team
âAbility to work with the team in a timely manner
âExemplary communication skills, a meticulous eye for detail, strong conceptual skills, and the ability to take responsibility for a project from inception to completion
âAbility to direct and mentor designers to communicate your vision and provide fresh, efficient cutting edge design solutions
Computer Skills
âMust beextremelyproficient in Photoshop and Illustrator
âPowerPoint knowledge required
âWorking knowledge of InDesign, Flash & HTML
âWorking knowledge of MS Viso a plus but not required
âBroad understanding of both MAC & PC platforms
