We seek an energetic, resourceful, and creative Accreditation Specialist to lead the oversight of Kaplan institutional accreditation processes. The Accreditation Specialist serves the Kaplan campuses and reports to the Director of Accreditation Readiness.
Specific Responsibilities include:
1. Oversee the accreditation activities for various nationally accredited campuses.
2. Develop and conduct training activities for the nationally accredited schools.
3. Work with various departments and regional management to identify concerns and develop strategies for the improvement required agency standards.
4 Conduct pre-visits and attend actual visits for all nationally accredited schools and actively participate in school evaluations and on-site visits.
5. Assist in the development of department metrics to determine success (i.e. school satisfaction.)
6. Respond to needs / requests from schools and agencies.
7. Assist schools with various applications and tracks on-going progress in cooperation with the operations team.
8. Assist in reviewing accrediting body documents (i.e. Self-Studies, Applications for Renewals, Responses) as well as assist in reviewing Annual Reports for agencies in cooperation with the operations team.
9. Monitor deadlines and due dates for accreditation activities.
10. Produce various reports as required.
11. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
1. Bachelors degree (Masters degree preferred)
2. 5 years experience in private, postsecondary education, preferably in Accreditation, Academics, or Financial Aid
3. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
4. Ability to travel (50%) and work a flexible schedule including some evening hours.
5. Persuasive communication skills and strong customer service skills
