Internship in Content-
Have you caught the Travel Bug? Travel Channel offers a fantastic opportunity through its paid internship program. The interns learn valuable skills on the job in the media industry. The program runs for 10 weeks starting June 1, 2009 and ending on August 7, 2009. The program is packed with exciting learning sessions. The intern must currently be an undergraduate or graduate to apply. Catch it!
The Content Intern will support the content team as needed throughout the development and production process. Assist in meeting preparation and helps ensure that project deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilites:
1. Organize show pitches and create agendas for development meetings
2. Maintain and update development report
3. Manage and respond to unsolicited pitches
4. Make dub requests and upload content to the Travel Media Center
5. Assists in preparation for presentations
6. Take notes during development & content meetings
7. Provides administrative support to the Content Development Manager as well as members of the Content Team
8. Other tasks as needed

Minimum Requirements:
1. Must be a current college student
2. Experience and/or interest in the media and television industry
3. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & Powerpoint
4. Strong communication skills - verbal and written
5. Detail-oriented & organized
6. Strong research skills
