Description:
The Manager will work as part of an established project team currently implementing an integrated Sales Administration and Accounting system (Sophoi iPLS) for the TV business users. Responsibilities include managing resources and deliverables to a plan. Position will also be responsible for business requirements analysis and design including the development of detailed system specifications and test plans to ensure an accurate and effective product. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in system implementation projects.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
*Develops a project plan and manage resources, deliverables and timeline to plan
*Interfaces with Director of WW TV Systems, VP of Corporate Systems, VP Controller of WW TV
Distribution and SVP of Sales Admin & Operations
*Supervises technical and business analysts
*Identifies project risks and communicate risks to project leadership
*Manages implantation of additional application functionality (e.g. Pay TV, PPC)
*Performs functional analysis on iPLS application issues and help drive functional solution
*Solicits feedback from business stakeholders on iPLS application and conversion issues
*Works with business users to help prioritize application issues and identify workarounds
*Performs functional fit / gap on Sophoi accounting functionality (e.g. Pay TV)
*Liaise between IT and vendor technical staff and the business
*Defines conversion and data archiving strategies
*Manages coordination of testing across testing resources
*Document iPLS test scenarios and expected results
*Manages data cleanup and reconciliation activities
*Reports to Project leadership
Qualifications:
Basic qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree preferably in Information Technology or equivalent
*Minimum of 7 years experience in a related position
Desired skills:
*Experience with TV Sales Administration and Accounting systems with in depth knowledge of
the business including policies, procedures, and specific business practices
*Understanding of Sarbanes Oxley principles and practices
*Strong organizational skills including an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously,
establish priorities, exercise good judgment, meet deadlines, and ensure issues are resolved
in a timely manner
*Aility to function collaboratively as part of a fast-aced, customer oriented team, perform
effectively as an independent producer under broad management direction, and a
demonstrated willingness to support the team on all levels to get the job done
*Strong understanding of web technologies
*Experience with J2EE application development and XML
*Knowledge of relational database modeling with Oracle Experience
*Data Warehouse experience a plus
*Demonstrated hands on and managerial experience in developing small, medium and large
scale projects across all phases of the project life cycle, as well as in the creation of
supporting project plans
*Demonstrated strong analytical skills
*Able to work independently and to prioritize tasks effectively
*Strong understanding of the software development life cycle from requirements gathering
through implementation
*Superior communication skills in working with technical and non-technical people and the
ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships among all levels of an organization
*Background in work related to accounting applications
*Knowledge of Microsoft Project
