The Marketing Manager II is responsible for the development of the strategies and implementation approaches that will grow account acquisition through the acquisition and retention channels that have been developed by Business Development. The role will have accountability with Business Development for the achievement of corporate acquisition goals.
This position will work with product development in the creation of new retail and new vertical products and enhancements to improve acquisition and retention and will report to the Vice President of Acquisition Marketing.
Responsibilities:
 Responsible for the overall performance of acquisition and retention efforts within specified channels
 Establish effective revenue proxies and manage costs and resources appropriately
 Defining (through analysis) new opportunities for acquisition based upon modeling, benchmarking, and process improvement
 Establishing the strategic framework for the evolution and improvement of acquisition and the associated plans
 Define new marketing programs that will enhance the acquisition penetration through established channels, to include segmentation, product presentation and packaging and pricing
 With brand management, establish appropriate product packaging and branding programs to enable better performance acquisition
 Project manage the marketing components of new relationship implementations
 Work with product management to evolve new products or feature functionality for existing or new segments
 Establish appropriate communication programs for the enhancement of acquisition of customers
 Define and implement cross-sell and up-sell programs
 Direct the development of NetSpend's customer acquisition strategy
 Establish best practices for customer acquisition in the retail and new verticals channels
 Interface with multiple business areas to serve internal customer needs in marketing
 Create and implementmarketingtest plans
 Analyze results of lead programs - cost per lead, response rate, conversion, etc.
 Manage budgets related to these activities
Skills/Education/Experience:
 5-8 years of progressive responsibility in Strategic Marketing, with the track record to prove success in revenue generation through marketing efforts
 Bachelorâs Degree, preferably in Marketing or Business Administration preferred or equivalent experience
 Strong working knowledge of multiple forms of media - print advertising, outdoor advertising, direct mail, and point-of-sale
 Experience successfully coordinating and managing small to large-scale projects from creation through implementation
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 Experience supporting business development and a field sales team
 Solid project management skills
 Strong work ethic with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
 Ability to work in a collaborative environment with internal and external partners, vendors, and customers
 Conceptual thinker who thinks about business problems in a new way and clarifies the key issues in complex situations. Ability to develop creative approaches to business needs
 Experience with analysis (financial and other) ofmarketingprograms and able to determine the effectiveness ofmarketingefforts and summarize for discussions with senior management
 Proven track record implementing effective customer acquisition and retention strategies with measurable P&L success
