Manpower is partnering with a local company for a Bottling Mechanic on a temporary basis. The individual we are seeking would have the following exp.: Responsible for assisting Bottling Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining smooth and efficient operation of bottling lines. Perform preventative maintenance on bottling equipment. Assist outside maintenance as needed. Assist in quality control of bottling line products. Responsible for effective communication between bottling line employees and supervisors. Maintain electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and all other mechanical aspects of bottling lines. Assist in housekeeping of bottling line areas. Remove and replace empty gas cylinders. Troubleshoot and perform emergency repairs on bottling and related equipment as necessary. Perform bottling line changeovers to accommodate different products. Train bottling line personnel in proper machine operation. Fabricate and/or assemble bottling lines or bottling line equipment.
Exposure to chemicals and machinery in bottling line areas. Warehouse environment (i.e., cool temperatures, artificial light, concrete floors). Long hours during peak periods (including all shifts). Operation of maintenance machinery (i.e., lathe, drill press, milling machine, band saw, welder, etc.) Heavy physical work (climbing ladders, moving machine parts, etc.)
Food and Beverage knowledge. Good organizational skills. Strong mechanical aptitude. Problem-solving skills in mechanical and electrical areas. Ability to respond to frequently changing production pressures. Ability to handle numerous projects in progress at one time. High speed bottling line experience preferred. Good communication skills. Background in fabrication, welding, electrical and/or other related mechanical fields preferred.
