Position Summary:
Directs and has overall responsibility for the facilities financial plans, policies, procedures and the maintenance of the fiscal records. Functions as key business partner to the General Manager for the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Full P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and Cost Accounting responsibilities
- Presents monthly financial results to senior management
- Responsible for preparation of the annual plans, quarterly forecasts, and monthly financial results
- Establishes goals to meet our financial expectations
- Responsible for consolidating financial results of the site
- Oversees Cost Accounting to ensure accuracy of Inventory valuation and manufacturing variance reporting
- Research, plan and implement programs that enhance organizational performance and productivity
- Develops strategic changes to improve our financial performance
- Provides and directs procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate financial and accounting controls and services
- Establish and maintain effective working capital management
- Supports General Manager in evaluating commercial opportunities, and participates in market based bid analysis
- Directs preparation of capital appropriations requests, new product development/growth initiatives and cost reduction projects
- Provides and maintains key operating metrics for the facility
- Establish career planning and personnel development goals for the financial team
- Serves as General Manager’s business partner and financial consultant
- Supervises staff of 5 accounting/finance professionals
Qualifications:
A minimum 10 years of relevant financial experience is required. A manufacturing background with experience in cost accounting and financial reporting for a manufacturing division is required. A Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance is also required. MBA/CPA and large accounting firm experience is preferred.
