Position Summary:The person filling this position will be responsible for supervising all aspects of our Jessup, MD Distribution Center including, but not limited to, ensuring that consistent service levels are maintained in order to meet our customer requirements. They will run daily inventory control reports and be required to make appropriate adjustments to inventory following research. They will set up work flow while balancing inbound product processing and outbound service to our customers. They will monitor employee productivity, both quantity and quality, and give consistent feedback in order to develop our employees and continue to meet our customer expectations. They will promote the safety and health programs that have been developed and ensure that all employees are trained and working in a safe manner. They will have responsibility for monitoring the financial success of the operation and achieving cost per line targets. They will remain in constant contact with customer service and sales regarding any issues that arise that will have an effect on our ability to provide service to our customers, while keeping the Regional Operations Manager apprised of any such situations. Maintain an organizational structure and philosophy that empowers the individual and rewards performance.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: 3 -5 years distribution center operations management experience is required with responsibility for evaluating, coaching and developing direct reports. The candidate must also have the ability to communicate effectively using oral skills, written evaluations of employees or situations and via email (MS Outlook). The ability to use MS Excel and Word is required. Understanding MS PowerPoint would be helpful. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

7 years distribution center operations management experience with evidence of consistent growth and increased responsibilities required without degree.

The ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in the warehouse is required.
