Position Summary

Do you desire being instrumental in the Cleantech revolution with a novel application? Youâve probably heard about solar, bio-fuels, fuel-cells, and wind. Have you heard about new extraction technologies for key industrial metals like zinc, lithium, and manganese? Our client is expanding the technical team for individuals interested in developing novel extraction technologies for commercially viable chemical products to serve existing and new markets.

What to expect
1. You will draw on your vast expertise in chemistry and process unit operations to develop novel extraction technologies in 9 months.
2. You will draw on your communication skills to manage a team of technicians. Your teamâs success will be instrumental in meeting your personal goals.
3. You will apply your knowledge in process scale up from the lab to the pilot plant and then ultimately to a full, commercial operating plant.
4. You will be juggling different test protocols for different aspects of the technology pathway.
5. You will gain exposure to market and business development activities as your work will play a fundamental direction for the client.
6. Attention to detail is critical.

Process Engineer

Top Skills

1) Process Simulation Modeling- Mass and Energy Balance Calculations using Standard Packages ( Aspen Plus or Pro II or similar industry standard)

2) Laboratory and field experience focused on scale up from bench scale à pilot plant à full commercial

3) Process experience with Column design for IX and Crystallization; Heat Utilization Efficiency of steam or fuel gas

Would like a candidate with experience with capital expenditure estimating and cost optimization
