Job Description
The Sales Manager will be responsible for the following job duties:
- Be knowledgeable of early childhood educational supplies and school supplies for pre-k, kindergarten, elementary school, and library, and their relevant distribution channels and sales networks;
- Be knowledgeable of early childhood furniture, school furniture, and library furniture, as well as their distribution channels and sales networks;
- Be knowledgeable of public school bidding processes;
- Develop and execute an overall sales strategy that meets company objectives of sales and earnings growth. This will include: 1) Creating and implementing comprehensive sales rep network nationwide that addresses the current and future needs of the sales forces; 2) Establishing direct distribution networks to large retail stores such as Staples, Office Depots, Wal-Mart, Target, etc.; 3) Training sales reps for directly selling; 4) etc.
- Evaluates and maintains customer pricing and profitability;
- Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets;
- Proactively utilizes and manages appropriate resources, internally and externally, that achieves both the Companyâs and the customerâs goals;
- Communicate with other departments at all levels as needed to best serve the customers;Â
- Work closely with other managers on miscellaneous projects as assigned to promote sales;

Job Experience & Qualification
Minimum 4 years bachelor degree required; MBA degree in channel distribution or sales is preferred;5 years successful sales management experiences;3 years school supplies sales experiences are preferred;3 years school furniture or kids furniture sales/distribution experiences are preferred;Previous working experience at industry leading companies such as Lakeshore Learning or Discount School Supply will be a plus;Project management skills and strategic planning ability;Ability to set targets and design growth plans;Ability to lead, motivate and manage for results;Excellent time management and organizational skills;Be able to work with various levels of management and meet deadlines;Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel, typing at least 45 wpm;Demonstrated analytical, negotiating, and problem-solving skills required;Strong written and oral communication skills;Must pass drug screening test and background check.Â
