Essential Skills:
This individual will supervise all aspects of Accounting for Walgreens Fixed Asset Shared Service Center and provide financial reporting, planning, forecasting and analysis support to the business. These responsibilities include:
â Preparation of financial information, footnotes and MD&A disclosures used in the published annual and quarterly SEC reporting.
â Develop and implement Corporate Accounting polices and best practices for area of responsibility, and integration across organization.
â Prepare monthly operating performance package and MD&A for Fixed Asset.
â Administer Fixed Asset Accounting System GEAC.
â Supervise lease accounting including:
o Capitalized leases, impairment testing, step rent and future minimum rent.
o Property management accounting for owned, idle and subleased properties.
â Continuous assessment and improvement of internal financial reporting and analysis needs & requirements for diverse businesses.
â Assist business unit CFOâs in the annual planning and budget process for CAPEX and Project Expense. Consolidate annual Plan budget for management review.
â Support accounting activities to ensure full compliance with all Sarbanes-Oxley Internal Control policies including reviewing process flow documentation.
Qualifications:
â The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6-8 years experience working in a large-scale, multi-location, and multi-product environment. A thorough understanding GAAP and experience with Tier one ERP systems.
â Strong presentation and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work with business unit and corporate executives.
â Project management skills, must have ability to manage multiple projects including M&A transactions and integrations.
â An undergraduate degree (MBA desirable), CPA required, Public Accounting experience (desirable).
