Aprestigiouslaboratory in San Antonio is looking for a Research Technologist/Engineer to work in their Pilot Plant. The position requires the person to work on various shifts including an overnight shift.


Specific Duties & Responsibilities

 Responsible for the design and operation of chemical pilot plants and demonstration scale units for chemical process-related research.
 Assignments will include shift supervision, spreadsheet calculations and data reduction; literature search; parts and equipment sizing, selection and procurement; procedure development.
 Write technical reports, instructions and procedures.
 Monitor, direct and supervise pilot plant operations.
 Hands-on pilot plant operation tasks will be required.
 Other duties as assigned.
 Knowledge of computer based pilot plant operation software is desirable.
 Sampling requires wearing a provided respirator.


Education & Experience

 Engineering degree is required with 1-2 years experience or a non-engineering degree with 3-10 years of experience or no degree and 10-20 years experience.
 Chemical Engineering degree is preferred, however degree in petroleum engineering or other related science field will be considered.
 Engineering experience is required.
 Experience education in refining fuels, processing gases, or chemical production preferred.
 Ideal candidate will have a Chemical Engineering degree with 1-2 years of design and/or operating experience in refining/hydrocarbon processing/chemical industry.



This position has various shifts and hours including Shift 1, Shift 2, and an Overnight Shift. May have to work on the weekends. Some overtime may be required. Hourly pay for this position is $25 - 30/hr. Interested applicants please send your resumes to Louis atlouis.rivera@tadresources.com
