Description of Duties

  • Performs diverse and complex legal tasks within specific specialty areas to best serve Nintendo's business needs, with minimal supervision

  • Develops and implements strategies to address complex issues

  • Communicates with employees throughout the company, including management

  • Communicates with, negotiates with, and directs outside contacts, which may include outside counsel, local and international governmental agencies (including law enforcement), representatives of other companies within the industry, trade associations, and other parties as needed

  • Pursues and maintains most current knowledge of company business and product technology

  • Provides training and reports relating to specialty area to Nintendo employees, outside counsel, government agencies, and third parties

  • Conducts or supervises factual investigations

  • Drafts complex legal documents and generates statistical reports relating to specialty area

  • Provides research, analysis and coordination of Nintendo's Internet anti-piracy program and manages Internet monitoring services






Summary of Requirements


  • Knowledge and understanding of complex issues and procedures associated with specialty area

  • Ability to understand highly technical concepts

  • Able to independently coordinate administrative projects

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

  • Excellent judgment and initiative

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Computer word processing, database and spreadsheet skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines

  • Eight or more years' related experience

  • Internet anti-piracy experience in a corporate environment and some knowledge of video game products are preferred

.




Education
  • Paralegal degree/certificate, undergraduate degree, or equivalent
