Title: Data Warehouse DataStage Administrator
Location: Chicago, IL

Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities: Responsible for the following activities:
1. Installation/upgrade of IBM Websphere Data Integration suite
2. Applying patches and bundles
3. Troubleshooting IBM Websphere Data Integration suite and infrastructure issues
4. Project migrations to/from various environments
5. Develop and troubleshoot UNIX scripts
6. Setup Projects and Lpars
7. Setup database connectivity to various database environments
8. Monitor environments according to security requirements
9. Monitor jobs for performance issues and troubleshooting
10. Develop, enhance, and support best practices and standards for data integration
11. Provide performance tuning insight to project teams
12. Mentor developers on data integration best practices and standards
13. Perform design and code reviews for the projects to ensure alignment with best practices and standards


Required Skills:
1) Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and 4 years experience in Data Warehouse delivery or DataStage Administration OR 6 years experience in Data Warehouse delivery;
2) 2 years experience in an admin role for DataStage and/or UNIX;
3) 4 years demonstrated experience using a formal ETL tool such as DataStage or Informatica;
4) 3 years experience with UNIX operating system with extensive experience in scripting;
5) 3 years SQL experience with emphasis on performance tuning;
6) Experience in ETL application architecture and design;
7) demonstrated interpersonal skills to promote understanding and facilitate the implementation of Data Warehouse best practices and standards;
8) demonstrated verbal and written technical communication skills;
9) demonstrated Project Management experience;
10) demonstrated SDLC experience


Preference will be given to candidates who have the following skills and/or experience:
1) DataStage 7.1 or above;
2) Health Insurance;
3) Zena or Zeke Scheduling tools;
4) Understanding of multiple database systems (Teradata, DB2, SQL Server, Oracle);
5) Metadata Management;
6) CVS source code control;
7) Websphere Data Integration Suite including DataStage, QualityStage, and ProfileStage


*** Experience with one of Blues healthcare insurance is a plus.
Required work location:
Consultant must be on-site to work closely with Client team on this project.
