REGRESSION SYSTEM ARCHITECT #1021516
The NVIDIA Architecture group is looking for a top programmer and script writer to enable our next generation build and regression system. A key part of NVIDIAâs strength is our proprietary internal environments and tools for chip development and we are continuously pushing the envelope and needing the next generation of tools to enable the next generation of chips.
Our regression systems are a critical component to our development strategy and employ continuously improving techniques for keeping our source code at top quality with rapid turn around and efficient utilization of resources. The system itself is a large-scale, multi-tier distributed computing system running on 1000s of heterogeneous machines. The system is continuously running the check in build and regression for 100s of engineers world-wide as well as the automatic QA of 100s of 1000s of tests to verify the overall source code. In this position, you will be working to improve the current systems ability to schedule and utilize resources, improve uptime of the system, make it more robust to compute farm failures, and tracking and improving overall throughput of the system. You will work closely with other project members and users to understand their build and test processes and needs. You will be creating environments that are stable and easy to use by thousands of engineers worldwide. You will directly contribute to the overall stability and schedule of our next generation chips.
Minimum Requirements:
- Excellent scripting skills â Perl preferred
- Strong object-oriented programming and design background: Perl, C or Java preferred
- Experience with Linux
- BS in Computer Science with 5 years of experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility/adaptability for working in a dynamic environment with different frameworks and requirements
